STATEMENT FROM THE BARBADOS STATISTICAL SERVICE REGARDING THE SALE OF PARAPHERNALIA

It has been brought to the attention of the Barbados Statistical Service (BSS) that there have been videos circulating on social media of an individual attempting to sell paraphernalia related to the 2021 Population and Housing Census.

The general public is advised that the individual is NOT associated with, and has NO AUTHORITY to conduct business on behalf of the Barbados Statistical Service and that this matter has been brought to the attention of the Barbados Police Service.

The general public is also advised that all official IDs prominently display the BSS logo at the back, as well as the photo of the Enumerator at the front.

Enumeration for the Population and Housing Census will conclude officially on July 15, 2022, however in order to ensure that the population count is accurate, the period of July 16 to August 31, 2022 will be used to enumerate any persons that were missed.

Persons who have any concerns or queries should contact the BSS at 535-2600.
