Foreday Back to Original Route/ Kadooment Stays On New Route

Foreday morning is returning to its original route while Grand Kadooment stays on the new route.

This disclosure came in a news conference today, that followed a meeting involving the Barbados Association of Masqueraders, the Collective of Foreday Morning Bands, the National Cultural Foundation and other government officials.

Representative for the Collective of Foreday Morning Bands, Ryan Worrell, says that the decrease in numbers of masqueraders is the main reason for the change in route.

The Chief Executive officer of NCF, Carol Roberts said permission was given for the change in route.

Meantime, President of Barbados Association of Masqueraders, Anthony Layne stated that Grand Kadooment will remain on the new route.

In light of the recent gun violence Mr. Worrell reassured the public that focus is being placed on security.
