Days after the change in Barbados’ covid-19 protocols many businesses still have the protocols in place and the Covid-19 Monitoring Unit is reminding them it’s unnecessary. Head of the unit Ronald Chapman notes that some malls, supermarkets and commercial banks are still conducting temperature checks and hand sanitization.
Mr. Chapman observes that some businesses are still doing temperature checks weeks after that was removed as a requirement.
President of the Barbados Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Anthony Branker, admits many businesses have been slow to adjust their protocols.
He praises the relaxation of the directives.
