Barbados high on childhood obesity list

Consultant Pediatrician and Childhood Obesity Champion Professor Dr. Ann St. John, says she has noticed an increase in the number and children and adolescents who are overweight which she says has serious health implications in the future.

She was speaking on VOB’s Down to Brasstacks to mark World Obesity Day 2022.

Also on the panel, Deputy Dean at the University of the West Indies Faculty of Law Nicole Foster, also highlighted Barbados’ alarming ranking on the Obesity Atlas 2022 released by the World Obesity Federation today.

Meantime, One concerned caller to the Brasstacks Programme raised the issue of eating healthy on a limited budget.
