Covid Community Engagement Project

Covid Community Engagement Project

The Ministry of Health has launched a new initiative aimed at educating people in communities across the island about the importance of following the covid-19 protocols.

The programme dubbed the “Covid Community Engagement Project” starts this Friday, and lead coordinator of the initiative, Arlene Husbands says they will be targeting areas where cases are high.

She was speaking during a covid-19 update briefing this morning.

Ms. Husbands also raised concern about the increased traffic during the holiday season, especially with an ease in the curfew time.

Meantime, manager of home isolation facilities, Dr. Adanna Grandison, said some people are still getting tested too late. She notes that covid-19 misinformation is playing a role in this.
