Curfew Roll Back

Prime Minister Mia Amor Mottley has announced a shortening of the curfew hours.

From Monday November 15th the COVID-19 curfew will start at midnight instead of 9pm and will remain in place for at least four weeks.

Speaking during a press briefing this afternoon, Ms. Mottley says the vaccination rate of the eligible population is 66.3%, this being one of the contributing factors in the decision to roll back the curfew.

Also addressing the press conference, President of The Barbados Association of Medical Practitioners, Dr. Lynda Williams, says they understand the reason for easing the curfew but says there are various factors which have to be considered going forward.
