Kimberly Agard is the new president of the National Union of Public Workers.
At the close of voting Ms. Agard amassed 393 votes to beat her opponent Fabien Jones who received 183 votes. Her entire executive team was also elected and join her office.
Ms. Agard says she is elated about her win.
General Secretary, Wayne Waldron, says this years’ voter turnout was low but says its time to put all the recent internal issues behind them and focus on its members.
