Akanni McDowall has withdrawn from the race for the Presidency of the National Union of Public Workers.

Mr. Dowall announced this afternoon that he’s withdrawing his name for consideration claiming that theres’s interference in the process.

Mr. McDowall believes he still has a lot of support with the rank of file of the union but alleges that interference would result in an unfair election.
