PM knocks international community on COVID-19 vaccine distribution

Barbados Prime Minister Mia Amor Mottley has criticised the willingness of the world community to share COVID-19 vaccines and of the level of global coordination in the distribution and administering of the doses.

She was speaking this morning at the Grantley Adams International Airport as Barbados took delivery of a batch of 33,600 vaccines under the Covax global initiative coordinated by the World Health Organization (WHO).

Also speaking at the airport this morning, Health Minister Lieutenant Colonel Jeffrey Bostic, stressed the importance of the vaccine rollout.
