Workers at the Barbados Community College staged industrial action this morning in support of a maid who was fired after working there for the past 4 years.
The woman was reportedly made to apply for a post of custodian and after do so, she was then told she was unsuccessful.
The National Union of Public Workers said she was then fired which they described as unfair.
BCC’s Shop Steward, Sammy Jackman, says the issue was resolved this morning after a meeting between the BCC management and the Union.
