Watercraft woes

Special provisions have been made for some vessels which operate from the port St. Charles Marina to go out onto the water for maintenance purposes.

Starcom Network News received reports that at least two vessels were seen leaving the St. Peter facility.

General Manager Stephen Austin confirmed that the operators were granted permission by the office of the Attorney General.

However, Watercraft Operator Tony Babb, of Radical Watersports, says it should be a level playing field, stressing that he has been advocating for government to make similar provisions for small watersports operators.

Attorney General Dale Marshall in responding to the complaints said  the current COVID-19 directives do not prevent watercraft operators from maintaining their vessels.
