Fire destroyed a St. Michael house early this morning and fire officials are reminding the public Barbados is still fighting the covid-19 pandemic  and they should avoid rushing to fires and let them do their job.

This as Barbados recorded its 17th house fire for the year at Odessa McClean Drive, My Lord’s Hill, St. Michael in the early hours of this morning.

The wooden house was officially termed unoccupied as the owner is in prison, however Starcom Network News was also informed that homeless people had taken up residence there.

Acting station officer Marlon Small gave the details on the blaze.

Acting Station officer Small also reminded residents of the need to maintain the protocols even though they may be concerned about the fire.
