CARICOM LEADERS ASKED TO INTERVENE IN CXC IMPASSE

A group of Caribbean parents wants CARICOM leaders to intervene and bring an urgent resolution to the impasse with the Caribbean Examination Council over the regrading of CXC and CAPE examinations.

Head of the Caribbean Coalition of CXC 2020 Redress, and local protest organizer, Paula Ann Moore, says a promised one-week review has not only been delayed by 12 weeks… but few of the reviews have been returned unchanged.

Ms. Moore told a virtual press conference that the current preliminary grades are erroneous and has disadvantaged thousands of children.

Ms. Moore says the matter needs to be put to rest urgently.
