Police public relations officer, acting Inspector Rodney Inniss, says police are on hand at all polling stations and have systems in place for any eventuality. But he expects a quiet day.

Political scientist Dr. George Belle is doubtful of the national significance of the by-election and just sees it as part of the government’s symbolically taken fresh guard.
