Police are carrying out investigations into the circumstances surrounding the fatal accident which occurred about 2:30 pm on Tuesday September 01 2020 along Molyneux Road, Sandy Lane St. James.
Involved were a white Suzuki Swift Motor Car registration number PA-2138 owned by Mandel Knight of Ruby St.Philip and driven by Marcia Yearwood 61 years of Bagatelle St. James
The white Suzuki Swift was travelling along Molyneux Road going in a westerly direction and a White Daihatsu Delta Truck registration number S-9438 was heading along the said road in the opposite direction. As her vehicle entered a corner she noticed the body of a man flying through the air on her right hand side. That body struck the right front fender of the car she was driving.
The deceased has been identified as Rommell Antonio Cyrus of Sion Hill St. James. He was reportedly standing on top of the bed of the truck, which is owned and driven by Winston Worrell of Upper Carlton St. James.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
