Police probe separate shootings

Police have been reporting that for the most part, the night-time curfew hours have been relatively quiet, however, daytime has been a different story.

There was a drive-by shooting on Monday at Chapman Lane, St. Michael.

The police say that about 5 35pm 44-year-old Mark Armstrong was liming with other men on a bench when a vehicle drove up and someone inside opened fire striking Armstrong a number of times in the buttocks and lower abdomen. He remains hospitalised.

And today about 12 30 pm there was an altercation among three men on the roadway outside the entrance to the Barbados Community College.

One of the men fired a number of shots at the other two individuals but no one appears to have been injured and the men all ran off.

Also, just before 3 pm shots were fired at Bonnetts, Brittons Hill, St. Michael but no injuries were reported.
