Four charged with killing Springer

Four people have been charged for the murder of Basil Springer, the postman whose body was found in a well at Chelston Park, Culloden Road, St. Michael.

The accused are:

26-year-old Kyle Archer, of #59 Bayview Avenue, Bayville, St. Michael

32-year-old Jamar Mottley of Lower Dayrells Road, Christ Church

22-year-old Leeann King of Scotts Gap, Brittons Hill, St Michael; and

27-year-old Shaneka Clarke of Scotts Gap, Brittons Hill, St Michael.

Mr. Springer was reported missing on March 5th, and his decomposing body was retrieved from a well at Chelston Park on March 11th.

Archer and King are also jointly charged with two robberies.

In addition, Archer has been separately charged with other offences.

The four are scheduled to appear at the District ‘A’ Magistrates’ Court today Saturday.

 

Police officers intercepted a green Toyota car on March 11th at Forde’s Road, St. Michael. Two of the suspects, a male and a female, were travelling in that vehicle and were captured. Mr Springer’s body was removed from the well later that evening.
