Relief for west coast residents, says Hinkson

Residents along the west coast of St. James have been promised that their issues of flooding will be addressed.

Parliamentary Representative for St. James North Edmund Hinkson toured today along with Transport Minister William Duguid, Minister in the Transport Ministry, Peter Phillips and senior officials of that ministry as well as the ministry of the Environment and Natural Beautification.

The officials toured Douglin Road, Trents, Crick Hill, and Westmoreland.

Speaking at flood-prone Weston, St. James Mr. Hinkson said the ministry of transport and works will be ensuring the wells, gullies and watercourses in the area are kept clear.

He added that major is also underway at Trents noting that while there has been a considerable inconvenience to residents and motorists that should soon end.
