Barbados Water Authority promises improved water supply to residents

The Barbados Water Authority is promising residents across a number of parishes that they should be getting improved water supply as a result of an additional three million gallons of water a day being added to the system via the Ionics Water Desalination Plant.

General Manager of the BWA, Keith-Roy Halliday, explained in an interview with Starcom Network News that the service disruption in St. Michael, St. James and St. Thomas was a result of complications that developed as the BWA made the mains connections to boost the overall national water supply.

Mr. Halliday says some areas should get immediate relief and over the coming months, additional districts will also see improvements.

And that promised relief will not come a moment too soon for some St. Thomas residents visited by Starcom Network News today.
