Update: Fatal fire at Bush Hall

The police have identified the victims of yesterday’s fatal fire. They are 82-year-old  Barbara Forde and her son 53-year-old Carlton Forde.

The fire occurred at the victims’ home at Alleyne’s Land, Bush Hall, St. Michael at 9 45 PM.
A relative of the victims tells Starcom Network News that residents reported hearing screams from inside the burning house and tried but failed to rescue the occupants.
A taxi van parked outside the house was damaged in the blaze.
The taxi was operated by the male occupant of the house.
The fire service is said to have received the call about 10 pm but by the time fire trucks arrived on the scene the house was engulfed in flames.

The residence was a three bedroom wood and wall constructed house which was destroyed.

The Chief Fire Officer along with Divisional Officer Fields, Station Officer King, two Leading Fire Officers, and five other Officers and two tenders responded from the Probyn Street Fire Station.
