Minister of Tourism Minister and International Transport, Kerry Symmonds has painted a picture of Barbados ranking poorly in cruise tourism circles in terms of visitor satisfaction, the quality of infrastructure, attractions and even the attitudes of Barbadians in their interactions with tourists including harassment and crude comments.

Speaking in the House of Assembly to note the final report of the National Cruise Development Commission he added that cruise tourists have been spending considerably less in Barbados than in other countries across the Caribbean.

He also highlighted a significant decline in the perception of the warmth and hospitality of Barbadians.
