Government outlines plans of Harrison’s Cave and GAIA’s divestment

Government has been further outlining plans to divest operations at both Harrison’s Cave and the Grantley Adams International Airport with the staff and credit unions being given a chance to be part owners.

Minister of Tourism and International Transport Kerry Symmonds speaking at the Barbados Labour Party’s 1st anniversary rally at Carlisle Car Park last night, announced the imminent divestment of Harrison’s Cave, while stressing that it’s not an outright sale as government intends to maintain long-term ownership of both that facility as well as the airport.
