Atherley wants authorities to hear out PSV operators concerns

Opposition leader Bishop Joseph Atherley is urging the authorities to listen to an act on the concerns of the privately owned public service vehicle sector.

He was speaking after meeting with representatives of the sector this morning at his office at the parliament buildings.

Apparently frustrated with the response from the transport authorities and government generally mini-bus and route taxi owners have taken up their long list of concerns with Bishop Atherley.

The public service vehicle operators believe a number of developments pose a threat to their survival including the proposed deal between the Transport Board and a private sector partner to purchase a new fleet of two hundred electric buses.
