Legislation is being brought before Parliament to better regulate street selling and remove the penalty of imprisonment for illegal vending.

Minister of Small Business, Entrepreneurship and Commerce, Dwight Sutherland said vendors should never be put in a position where when they are trying to earn a living, be imprisoned for vending in an unsanctioned location.

He spoke during a tour of the Palmetto Market in Bridgetown this morning.
