A Way To End Of AIDS By 2030

Although stigma against persons living with HIV has decreased in Barbados, Director of the National HIV/AIDS Commission, Jacqueline Wiltshire-Gay, says some marginalized groups in society are still being affected by it.

She says the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender community and sex workers are feeling the brunt of the discrimination and this needs to be rectified so that the disease isn’t pushed underground.

Ms. Wiltshire-Gay suggested that there is a way that we could see the end of AIDS by 2030. She was speaking at the St. Michael Cathedral’s Centre for Faith & Action Independence Entrepreneurship Expo at the Church Village in the city, as they observed world AIDS day.
