The National Union of Public Workers expects to know of the Chief Personnel Officer’s decision on the Akanni McDowall matter by the end of this week.
General Secretary of the NUPW, Roslyn Smith last week sent a letter to the CPO asking her to deal with the decisions made during last year’s marathon meeting on the matter. She had asked for a response by the end of Monday.
Ms Smith tells STARCOM NETWORK NEWS that the CPO responded within the time frame and has indicated that the matter would have been discussed at a meeting, which was to be held yesterday.
Ms Smith says she expects to hear “something positive” this week.
