Barbados confirms cases of COVID-19

Barbados has recorded its first two confirmed cases of Covid-19, the corona virus, a 48 year old visitor who arrived from the USA and a 39 year old Barbadian female who also arrived from the USA.
They have been placed in quarantine and efforts are on to trace people who have come into contact with them.
In all, fourteen people were tested yesterday.
Schools will be closed and public gatherings restricted to no more 100 people.

Senior reporter Keith Goddard was at the ministry of health this morning as minister of health and Wellness Lieutenant Colonel Jeffrey Bostic made the announcement.
