Broadcaster David Ellis is calling for stricter policing of some of the music that’s played by radio stations in Barbados.

Mr. Ellis whose on air outcry helped fuel a public furor over the gun lyrics in a music video, revisited the topic on today’s edition of the Brass Tacks call-in program on Voice of Barbados.

He spoke of his concern about some the songs from Jamaica that are aired here.

Meantime, musician  and youth activist, Kevin Sluggy Dan Watson, is appealing to the Barbadian public to accept the apology of the artistes, featured in the controversial Trojan Rhythm gun lyrics video.

Speaking on VOB’s Fire Works program he pointed that since the issue exploded some of the artistes have put out songs with positive themes.
